Do you believe in ghosts? Do you believe in love? If the answer to both these questions is yes, you'll love this tale of a hunted honeymoon hotel and the lovely ladies who dwell there in the present as they did a hundred years before. Belle Bulette is one of the spooky ladies charged with bringing together couples such as Daphne Remington who has a reputation for being a society renegade much to the chagrin of her family and Andy Branigan, the unfortunate reporter assigned to write a fluff piece on honeymoon hotels. The problem Belle faces is whether two people from such different backgrounds can really be brought together, especially as they've never met. Daphye impulsively takes the bus to Maiden Falls with the intent of this weekend being a sort of last fling, a last celebration of her independence before she marries up and coming politician Gordon McCormick. Andy is already ensconced in the last room when she arrives. Stuck without transportation and having no other accommodations available, Daphne accepts his offer to share the room with her in exchange for an interview. And Belle starts counting her future efforts on their behalf as already accomplished. However, life takes one of those turns where things go wrong and all three must rething their choices. Highly recommended as a great fun read loaded with romance and great characters with personalities you'll love. Talented author Colleen Collins opens many doors at once for the reader and all you have to do is step through. Any one will take you on a visit to a one-time bawdy house filled with present-day honeymooners and love. Just follow the trail of lilac scent to the Belle Bulette room where the run begins.
