Review

A modern western romance with touches of the old west that will touch your heart in more ways than one and cause old memories of childhood to bestir themselves. You might find yourself booking reservations at the nearest dude ranch after reading this book. Anne Fraser and her daughter, Zoe, are called back to help run The Silver Rose while the owner is taking a trip to fulfill a promise. Torn between her sense of duty to her stepfather and worry about her daughter's fragile health, Anne elects to do as he asks. On her arrival she learns she will handle the house and AJ's grandson, Will who is a bull rider, will handle the barns and related chores. Will wishes he could be accruing points toward the bull riding championship but an injury has him sidelined. With the docto refusing to say he's fit, he agrees to help run his grandfather's ranch for the summer. On their arrival, AJ quickly departs and they are on their own. Thus begins a summer neither adult nor Zoe will ever forget. Talented author Debra Salonen makes the reader open their heart to the yearning of a little girl who wants to learn to ride a horse and hwose mother has to fight herself not to be overprotective. Add one handsome cowboy and you have a triangle in the shape of a heart. A fun read I highly recommend. Enjoy.
