Review

A story of pain and fear experienced by a teenage girl verging on womanhood, a tale of innocence lost, murder and accusation. Samantha, a child of wealth and ease, is attacked by an old family friend. The aftereffects send ripples out that leave chaos behind them. The attack by one man has thrown her into the arms of another who has been waiting for just such a chance. He uses various forms of manipulation to control Samantha which develops into a fear/hate relaitonship on her part. Too young to know how to handle the situation, she doesn't tell her family the nightmare she is living. Then things get out of hand and she becomes a pawn of the law enforcement agents who have an agenda of their own. When will the nightmare end? How will it end? Will Samantha ever be free? Those are the questions that follow her through this intriguing tale as she struggles to regain control of her own life. Talented Rosemarie Aquilina creates complex characters and situations to keep you reading, a story with unhinted surprises awaits you as you read. Using her legal expertise, the author has opened the door into the complexities of the law and its workings. If you like thrillers about the law, you will enjoy this one.
