The old west lives!! For all romantics who love horses, cowboys and the romance of the old west as recalled by the movies made before the grittiness won out, this is a tale will be dear to your heart. Whirlwind Wedding is that combination that makes the reader remember sitting in the darkened theater with popcorn and soft drink nd a date at your side while above you played out the story of a gun-totin' hero, the feminine leading lady and the leering, mustachioed villain. But it is much more. It also opens the door to the rality of life in the frontier towns as faced by transplanted women from the cities. Mixed in with the romance, one finds fear and the hardships of just living. Catherine Connelly has come west to take care of the brother she never knew. Then a wounded Texas Ranger shows up at her door and faints from loss of blood. As his life hangs in the balance, Catherine takes on the burden of caring for him. Ranger Jericho Blue is on the trail of murderers and he is afraid that Catherine's young brother may be mixed up with the gang. He doesn't quite know how to tell her, cut is not to be deterred from doing his duty. Listen as you read and you'll hear the creak of saddles, the whinny of horses and feel the heat and dust while batting at pesty flies. Lively and lifelike, the characters will keep you reading and you'll enjoy every minute of your visit to the "days of yesteryear". Highly recommended as a fun read that will hold your attention to the end. Enjoy. I did.
