Al Brookes can't even stop in a bar for a quiet drink without running into someone he knows and trouble. This time, it's his ex-wife seated at a table with a dead man and the killer suicided on the floor nearby. No one seemed to know the dead men or why the two men were dead and Jan, Al's ex-wife, was in no shape to talk. All Al can do is comfort her while they wait for the police. Thus begins a new adventure for Al Brookes involving a group wishing to return the islands to the old ways and a mysterious turtle symbol that throws Al into contact with new dangers in Fiji and other island destinations. A tightly-plotted tale as lived by interesting characters with complex motives for what they do. Lots of action and never a dull moment. Highly readable. Recommended for any action lover as a fun read. Enjoy.
