Review

The legend said as Labad was dying from wounds inflicted during the Magik wars, that he dipped his blade into his own blood and wrote a prophecy to be fulfilled by two descendants of his. The omens were listed and waiting to be made known. In the ages following, the land waited the coming of The Promised Ones. Were the twins Adam and Charity, the two who would rid the land of the attempts of the evil sorcerer, Gilgafed, to destroy it? Or would one of the several vile creatures he sent to kidnap them succeed? The Promised Ones by talented author Robert Lee Beers is a fun read with a good mix of laughter added to the suspense and near horror. It is a tale of many moods that will carry you along as Adam and Charity move toward their destinies. Put on your seven-league boots and cape and step through the door of imagination to a land where marvelous creatures dwell. You will love Wizard Milward as a crusty old man who befriends the twins and you will love to hate Gilgafed as he brings his creatures into being.
