A must for the socially-conscious-minded reader. This is a tale that will sadden, then gladden your heart as you read. The plight of the homeless is one of the biggest our society today must face sooner or later. And it seems to be growing. That is what makes Marcie's mounting problems seem hopeless. She asks questions of the social workers that seem to have no answers. Realizing she is caught with her two children in what is a never ending downward spiral of poverty and hopelessness, Marcie takes matters into her own hands and finds answers for herself and others. Recommended as a tale of hope, this story by talented Nancy J. Bishaw reminds us all to be thankful for what we have and how quickly it can be lost. This story represents the best in all of us. Enjoy.
