That you can't escape the past is something Anne Lundstrom learns as she seeks a new life in Deep Haven, an area far removed from the slums of Minneapolis. On arrival in Deep Haven, she is thrown into contact with Noah Standing Bear, a man she seems to recall having met before, but isn't sure where or when. Anne runs headlong into her own fear when she learns she is expected to work at a summer camp with Noah for youths from the slums. They both have secrets, but each from the opposite side of the law. She was wounded in the line of duty as an EMT and he is an ex-con very much like the boy who shot her. Anne learns a lesson in trust, forgiveness and faith--something she thought she'd lost while Noah learns to live again, to hope and love as they work to convince the campers there is something better in life than belonging to a gang. Tying The Knot is not just a romance, but one of those books that will satisfy any reader. Author Susan May Warren has constructed a tale that will compel your attention, page by page, as you share the emotions of two very different people who try to find a place in life for themselves.
