No More Lies is one of those books that crosses many genre lines and has a wide-ranging appeal that will please many readers. Sci-fi, suspense, romance, mystery--are the major areas of interest. It is also a medical thriller with plenty of forward movement. Psychiatrist Dr. Holland Banks has begun to suffer from tinnitus, a slushing sound in her ears that is increasing in strength. She is also having weird dreams that one of her hands is evil, that she may not be quite human. And to add to her troubles, a stalker appears on the scene. The stalker winds up in the private psychiatric hospital Dr. Banks runs and she soon finds herself taking charge of his care and involved with him in a way she'd never have expected. This, and her father's insistence they enter his research facility 'for their own protection' sends Holland and the stalker, Jeff McQueen, on the run together. The reader will find more than one story being acted out from the beginning. Interesting and lifelike characters work at cross purposes as the story unfolds. Some will excite your pity, some your contempt, but they will hold your attention. Author Susan Squires has created an exciting story with plenty of action set in the western U.S. There is something in this book for everyone. A well-constructed story written by a very talented author that will keep you turning those pages. A book to be remembered.
