Attention romance readers. Whether or not you read historicals, you will enjoy this one. A story that offers everything a romantic could want and more. Emily Fairfax has a secret and a little sister, Letty, who is full of mischief. Because of the secret, Emily finds herself challenged to a duel. A comedy or errors ensues and leads to Emily's introduction to Lucius Ashford, rising young Member of Parliament. Family problems and the secret cause Emily and Letty to leave their lovely Irish home for London where she encounters Ashford again. A friendship springs up between them, but Letty's unintentional mischief causes real problems. Laughter mixes with danger as Emily tries to resolve matters and Ashford finds his life at risk because of the cause he espouses as M.P. This is a great read, written by a very talented author, offering a perfect blend of laughter and sighs, romance and mystery. You will find it hard to put down as you join Emily, Letty, and Lucius in a tale with lots of action and romantic highs. An adventure of the heart.
