Review

A story that brings the aftermath of the Civil War home to the reader. A story of the struggle that continued after it was over. Full of hope and joy, Cameron Logan had awaited her husband's return from his mysterious doings during the war, only to find herself being treated like a child when he did come home. In a struggle to regain her independence, she flees to her home in Mississippi and sees war's devastation firsthand. Jackson Logan wanted nothing so much as to return to the wife he loved and get on wit the running of his shipping business, but the demands of his country came first. Torn between the things he loved, he made mistakes he couldn't see that sent Cameron running. She ran straight into danger from a source that even he hadn't expected. Return To Me is a well-written tale of intrigue with lots of action. The very talented author opens a door in time, allowing the reader to step into the past and live the consequences of a nation at war with itself. A story worthy of full attention while being read, one you won't want to put down. Recommended by this reader as a learning experience of the heart.
