A compelling read. An inside look at the pressures that can drive a person over the edge as happens to Isabel Murphy, news commentator. A job that required travel to distant places on short notice; long, odd hours, pressures from family and marriage; and self expectations--all work against Isabel and she finds herself residing in Three Breezes, a psychiatric facility where she meets others with problems very different from hers. Ms Elizabeth Flock gives the reader a realistic look at life in a facility where people with mental problems go for treatment and hopefully a cure or at least to learn the coping skills that will enable them to deal with life on the outside. Ms Flock uses her considerable writing talent to show what goes on behind the masks people present to the world. But Inside I'm Screaming will definitely make you stop and consider your attitudes about mental illness and show you it can happen to anyone. A book well worth your time.
