A winner!! Highly-talented author Ruthe Furie gives her fans another exciting and intriguing read in A Natural Death. PI Fran Kirk is sent to Hickory Hill Farm by Sunset Insurance to find out what happened when a farm employee turns up dead. The question is how did the pitchfork find its way into the body--was it in the hay and the victim fell on it or was he stabbed with it? Fran learns very quickly it was murder. And finds herself drawn into a case that involves a runaway child and syrup poured on computer keyboards. The ensuing investigation leads down blind alleys and onto dark roads where danger lurks in the form of an unsee, unknown adversary whose malice will make your hair stand on end as you follow Fran in her pursuit of the killer while the killer pursues a path of destruction. This mystery will keep you turning pages in what is a tightly plotted, well written book with a great cast of unique characters, red herrings and all the twists and turns one could hope for. Read this one and you'll be hooked, waiting impatiently for Ms. Furie's next book.
