Review

Attention, mystery fans! This one is a keeper! Read it once and you'll save it to read again. burned in Baltimore is one of those tales that gives the reader something extra each time it's read. Toni Credella, widow, is trying desperately to make a go of her life and, with the help of new friends in a new neighborhood, seems to be making it. But the neighborhood is one of those caught between struggling to save itself and losing the battle, and Toni finds herself caught in this same situation. An old city, Baltimore, is the source of more than one mystery and you'll find plenty of them in Burned in Baltimore. Through no fault of her own, Toni is caught in a web designed to catch another, she has plumbing problems you wouldn't believe, and her sister blames her for things beyond her control. Pick this book up and you'll hate to put it down. The very talented author, Louise Tichener, takes the reader to a part of the city not ordinarily seen except in passing through, introduces you to some of the inhabitants, and involves you in their lives and troubles. And you'll be glad she did. It is my pleasure to recommend Burned in Baltimore to any mystery fan looking for a tale to hold your attention from beginning to end. Ms Louise Tichener's first book in this series, Buried in Baltimore, is the Eppie winner in the mystery category.
