Bilbo Baggins lives a calm and uneventful life in the shire until Gandalf shows up at his house and asks him to go on an adventure with thirteen dwarves to retrieve Thorin Oakenshield's treasure from Smaug the dragon in the misty mountains.
This tale is an epic fantasy and contains goblins, elves, wizards and lots more. It is well worth reading and I would reccomend it to anyone who likes (or thinks they would like) Tolkien's work.
