Review

The youngest Ducasse daughter, Princess Joell, will inherit her grandfather's throne and must marry the man chosen for her, one who has royal blood and is qualified to share her bed. The suddenness of her grandmother's death and the pressure of knowing she must assume her royal duties soon frightens Joell and fills her with resentment. At no time in her life has she been able to live her own life, even for a day. The need to sort out her feelings drives her to running away--for a year, at the end of which she will return and take up the life of a royal without protest. Prince Leo of Borgarde finds her singing in a New Orleans jazz joint and pretends to be an ordinary man. He wines and dines Joelle known as Josie on stage and spends the night with her. He awakens to find a note thanking him. Thanking him?? He is outraged. Joelle returns to her royal duties and finds more than one unpleasant surprise awaits her. And the man she spent the night with in New Orleans turns up also. Could things get any worse? A fun read by a talented author whose writing will leave the reader with an itch that demands satisfaction and you'll know how the Decasse princesses felt when they met the man of their dreams. Enjoy
