Ever try to run away from your past? Laura Genny did and found out, you can't. Getting the job as sound technician to travel with the band called Tourist was a dream come true and she hoped she could live up to the responsibilities it entailed. But it also put her in danger of having her whereabouts made known to her Aunt Jane who'd made her childhood a hell. Could she confront the old woman when they met and vanquish the horrible memories she seemed doomed to carry forever? Will Burns had only planned on hiring a sound technician, but Laura soon became much more to him. He began to dream of a life beyond the band and pictured her as part of it. The only problem was, she seemed impervious to his charm. What could he do to make her aware of him as a man?
Laura's Secrets is a compelling story by a talented author. Shannon Greenland has created a cast of complex characters capable of walking off the page to shake your hand, people whose motives and actions drive a multi-layered plot. Highly recommended as a tale worth the time. Enjoy.
