Talented Michelle L. Levigne continues the saga of Ian and Miranda Fieran from the first book, Azuli Eyes, through their daughter Kay'li. Several years have passed, Ian has left the Scouts, married Miranda and become a father. Unfortunately, tragedy stalks him and Miranda and soon he must take Kay'li and flee their home. Her parents fear for her safety if her power-mad grandmother should be allowed into the child's life or that Kay'li might become a Wilding, anathema to the settlers on the planet. An exciting read that takes the reader through the years of Kay'li's youth to the time she chooses a career. A new life awaites her as she learns about the Scouts proud heritage and begins the search for the woman she will become. A very enjoyable tale with a great cast of characters. You'll be looking for the next part of this tale to see what happens next in Kay'li's life. Any sci fi reader who likes a bit of romance and myster will find this a delightful way to spend the time. Highly recommended.
